Terms of Service

Last Updated: March 25, 2026

Hey there! Thanks for checking out Inumame Studios. Before we get started on your custom kigu, please take a few minutes to read through the info below. Placing an order means you agree to these Terms of Service, so we’re all on the same page about how the process works.

1. General Stuff

You must be 18 or older to commission a kigu.

Submitting a quote or filling out an interest form doesn’t guarantee a commission slot. Note that spots are limited.

Quotes are valid for 90 days, after that prices may change.

Please include a clear full ref sheet (front and back at minimum). No AI‑generated refs please. If you need a ref sheet, we are happy to refer you to an amazing artist!

2. Payment Info and Pricing

A 30% non‑refundable deposit is required to claim your commission spot.

Remaining payments can be split into monthly installment.

Your order won’t ship until everything’s fully paid off.

Prices are in USD and may vary based on materials or design changes.

Base Pricing:

Non-Embroidered Face Kigu – $1,000

Embroidered Face Kigu – $1,400

Custom Hood Lining – $150

Removable Sleeves/Legs –$100

3. What’s Included

All kigus come with these standard features:

  • Buttons or zippers

  • Deep pockets

  • Horns

  • Stuffed or non‑stuffed tail

  • Knitted or elastic cuffs

  • Faux fur or fleece hair and accents

4. Shipping

Shipping is included for Domestic (We are based in Washington State) shipping. For our international friends, we offer to split the shipping costs. We will find the best price before shipping!

Tracking will be shared once the order ships. We are not responsible for postal delays, lost packages, or customs fees once an item is mailed out (I’ll pack it safely though!).

5. Turnaround Time (TaT)

Average turnaround is 2–3 months after all supplies have arrived.

That estimate might shift if supplies are delayed or other life things pop up, but I’ll always keep you updated if anything changes.

6. Design & Approval Process

Each order starts with a drawn mockup so you can see what your kigu will look like.

Embroidered face commissions get up to three sketch revisions before the final version is locked in. Any major edits after that may add a small fee.

If you request changes after production has begun (colors, species, or special features), extra costs may apply depending on new materials needed.

7. Communication & Order Updates

Updates and progress photos will be sent through Telegram (text + pics).

If you stop responding for over a month, your spot will be considered forfeited and we’ll move on to the next client.

If you disappear for three months or more, your entire slot and any payments made will be forfeited.

8. Repairs

You’ve got 30 days after delivery for free repairs — this covers normal wear and tear.

After that, any repairs would be at your cost for materials and time.

Please wash your kigu before mailing it back for repair! Unwashed returns will be charged a $25 cleaning fee.

Major changes (like redesigning a character or altering colors/species) are not part of a repair and would count as a new commission.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

The 30% deposit is non‑refundable, no matter what.

If you have paid in full, once we’ve started making your kigu, any additional refunds or cancellations are at our discretion.

10. Sharing & Artist Rights

You own your character design, of course!

We reserve the right to share WIP and final photos of your kigu on social media and our website for portfolio purposes.

We’ll never recreate or resell your specific design without your written permission.

11. Safety & Liability

Please wear and care for your kigu responsibly! Inumame Studios isn’t liable for any injuries, allergies, or other issues that come from wearing or handling your item. Every piece is handmade with love, as well as our Studio Shiba Rei’s supervision, and a little care will help it last for years.

12. Agreement

By placing a deposit with Inumame Studios, you’re confirming that you’ve read these Terms, understand them, and agree to follow them. Thanks for supporting small artists and helping keep this process clear, fair, and fun for everyone!
